Set in an English school, “Hex” is the chilling story of Cassie, a shy student who discovers she is cursed by terrifying links to the past and must fight against powerful forces that threaten her existence. The show has built a strong, loyal following over its first two seasons on Sky One.

To provide dedicated “Hex” fans with a more immersive experience and create even stronger links between the show and its viewers.

In order to capitalise on the success “Hex” enjoyed over its first season, a behind the scenes documentary was commissioned by Sky.
Isolating themes that we knew were of particular interest to “Hex” fans – such as special effects and shooting locations – the production company produced a number of detailed, focused films that expanded on specific themes, providing fans with the further information they were looking for and creating a genuinely immersive experience through interactivity. Once produced, these behind the scenes films were made available to viewers via the red button at the end of certain episodes.
The behind the scenes films were first made available at the end of the third episode of season two in October 2005. For the next three episodes fans could press red after watching the show to access an informative, relevant and detailed film about an aspect of “Hex” that they were likely to have a real interest in.

A significant number of the show’s dedicated and upmarket audience tuned in to the interactive films each week.
