“The 4400” is a hugely popular science fiction drama that deals with the consequences when 4400 previously missing persons suddenly and inexplicably return at the same time, exactly as they were on the day they vanished.

With the second season about to end, the brief was to provide viewers with extra content that would not be available anywhere else and to give them an insight into the show, its stars and how the programmes are put together.

The Sky production team provided two of the show’s major stars – Patrick Flueger who plays Shawn Farrell and Chad Faust who plays Kyle Baldwin – with video equipment and asked them to shoot behind the scenes on their last two days on set filming the final episode of season two. The pair set about their task with plenty of enthusiasm, sending back a large volume of quality footage that was edited by the Sky team into a fast-paced and entertaining ten-minute video blog. The content was enhanced with clips from appropriate episodes.
When the final episode of season two was aired in December, fans could access this compelling, relevant and exclusive content by pressing the red button.

This exclusive interactive application offered fans further engagement with the show, even though the series had come to an end, and proved a big hit, with BARB figures showing healthy viewing numbers.
