SUMMARY

The challenge for the Sky Gamestar team was to update the interactive television version of the Hasbro game Monopoly to ensure it appealed to first time players and Monopoly experts alike, and brought gamers back time and again.

BRIEF

The brief was to create an accurate and compelling version of this classic board game. The team needed to provide the precision and attention to detail those players familiar with the board game would expect, as well as offer players the potential to customise play and rules.

SOLUTION

Sky Gamestar relaunched a Deluxe Monopoly in August 2004. This all-new updated version, with even more customisation, a simpler interface and multi-angle viewing, continued the success of the game on the portal.

RESULTS

In the first four months a quarter of a million people played Monopoly Deluxe.
