Competitions are a useful way of demonstrating the value of advertising on Sky Text. Advertisers can run competitions to increase brand awareness and measure response rates.

The brief was to demonstrate the ability of Sky Text to reach viewers and generate a response.

Sky Text had run a number of successful competitions in the past, including the ICC Cricket Tour and Disney/PIXAR’s “Toy Story 2 On Ice”. This time the team chose to run a competition whereby viewers could win a PlayStation 2 plus two brand new release games “Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas” and “FIFA Football 2005”.

The competition was on-air for a total of two weeks, during which time it received over 1,500 entries.
